Student Ambassador Scholarship Program
During the month of March, Millbrae high school students who live in Millbrae and will enter their Senior year of high school in the fall may submit an application to the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce Student Ambassador Scholarship Program.
Candidates must fill out the application and write an essay on the topic outlined on the application. All applications must be received by the deadline stated on the application.
Only essay finalists will be granted interviews, after which two applicants will be chosen to represent their school and serve as liaisons between their school and the Chamber as Student Ambassadors during the coming year.
Student Ambassadors are required to attend monthly Board meetings on the third Monday of each month at 6pm.
Student Ambassadors are also required to assemble and manage a large team of student volunteers for the Millbrae Art & Wine Festival on Labor Day weekend, which also requires the Student Ambassadors to work at the festival both days.
Student Ambassadors may also be asked to attend or help out at Chamber events throughout the year.
At the end of their successfully completed term, Student Ambassadors who have fulfilled their obligations will be presented with a scholarship check in the amount of $1,200.00.
Applications will become available from your high school career counselor in March. Applicants must be going into their Senior year of high school in the fall, must be Millbrae residents and must go to school in Millbrae.
