Millbrae Art & Wine Festival
The Bay Area's Best Art & Wine Festival is held
every year on Labor Day weekend in downtown Millbrae. The 2009
festival will take place on
Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th, 2009. Once again, Broadway will
be transformed into a wonderful street faire with
artists, craftspeople, food vendors, entertainers, and
musicians.
We are a juried show for handmade arts and crafts. We do not allow
resale or imports. If you would like to participate in the 2009
event as an artist or gourmet food vendor (packaged foods), please

Principals
for the DayOn Wednesday, March 11th, the Millbrae
School District enlisted the support of five people from various
civic organizations in
Millbrae to serve as Principals for the Day at each of the
five schools in the district. The Millbrae School District is
one of many districts in San Mateo County that participated in
this annual event.
After spending the morning
"shadowing" the real principals at the schools, the participants
were treated to a performance by the Taylor Middle School string
quartet and a lovely lunch.
This year's participants included Marcia Raines (Millbrae
City Manager), Robert Gottschalk (Millbrae Mayor), Sandy Wee
(Millbrae Librarian), Paul Larson (Millbrae Lions Club) and John
Ford (Millbrae Chamber of Commerce).
